Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 4, 2026

This Cookie Notice explains how Super Mega Lab LLC, doing business as tidbiits ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), uses cookies when you visit our website at tidbiits.com or use our Services.

For more information about how we process your personal information, please see our Privacy Policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide a better user experience.

WHAT COOKIES DO WE USE?

We use only strictly necessary cookies. These are essential for the Services to function and cannot be switched off. We do not use any analytics, marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.

CookieNamePurposeDurationType
Session__Secure-next-auth.session-tokenMaintains your authenticated session so you stay logged in as you navigate the ServicesSession or up to 30 daysFirst-party

Because these cookies are strictly necessary to deliver the Services, no consent banner is required and you cannot refuse them without losing the ability to use the Services. You can set your browser to block these cookies, but the Services will not function.

HOW WE MEASURE MARKETING WITHOUT COOKIES

We want to understand how users discover tidbiits and which marketing channels and public share links bring new signups. To do this without using marketing or tracking cookies, we rely on URL parameters instead.

When you sign up, we read any utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content, and ref_share values present on the signup URL — along with the document.referrer value your browser provides — and persist them on your user account. The data is captured only at the moment of signup. No persistent identifier is set in your browser for marketing purposes, no cookie carries this information from page to page, and no third-party analytics or advertising script runs on the Services.

When anyone visits a public share page at /share/{shortId}, we record an anonymous view event with a hashed form of the IP address and user-agent, plus the referring URL and any UTM parameters on the share URL. These events are not associated with any user account and are not linked to any browser cookie.

To re-affirm: tidbiits does not use any analytics, marketing, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies. The only cookies on the Services are the strictly necessary cookies listed above. For the full details of how we handle acquisition attribution data, see Section 18 of our Privacy Policy.

THIRD-PARTY COOKIES

When you use certain features of the Services, third-party services may set their own cookies on your device. These are limited to functional purposes:

Stripe (Payment Processing). When you interact with our billing or checkout pages, Stripe may set cookies for fraud detection and payment processing purposes. These are strictly necessary for payment functionality. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Cookie Policy.

Google (Authentication). If you sign in using Google OAuth, Google may set cookies related to the authentication process. These cookies are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not control third-party cookies. Please refer to the relevant third party's cookie and privacy policies for more information.

FUTURE CHANGES

If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (such as analytics or marketing cookies), we will update this notice and implement a consent mechanism that requests your opt-in before any non-essential cookies are placed on your device.
